Senior IT Project Manager – Financial Services / Platform Modernization Location: Burlington, ON Work Model: Remote with 1 day per week onsite in Burlington for team collaboration We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead technology modernization and transformation initiatives within a highly regulated Financial Services environment. The organization is undertaking a significant, multi-phase modernization of technology platforms supporting credit and fraud-related products, including existing applications and customer-facing portals. Projects range from approximately six months to multi-year initiatives. This is an opportunity for a seasoned IT Project Manager to step into an active delivery environment, quickly establish credibility, and take ownership of complex technology initiatives. What You'll Do Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology modernization and transformation initiatives. Manage projects involving application, platform and customer-facing portal modernization. Establish and manage project scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and deliverables. Coordinate cross-functional teams across Technology, Business, Product, Architecture, Security, Risk and Compliance. Lead delivery within an Agile environment, partnering closely with technical and business teams. Manage dependencies between legacy platforms and modernized technology environments. Ensure regulatory, security, risk and compliance considerations are incorporated throughout delivery. Lead project governance, steering committee meetings and executive-level status reporting. Identify delivery risks and proactively drive issues toward resolution. Communicate project status, risks, decisions, dependencies and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders and executives. Support roadmap planning for initiatives ranging from six months to one- or two-year programs. What We're Looking For 7–10+ years of IT Project Management experience delivering complex technology initiatives. Strong experience within Financial Services, such as: Banking Credit services Credit bureaus Payments Lending Credit cards FinTech Insurance Other highly regulated financial environments Demonstrated experience leading technology transformation, application modernization or platform modernization initiatives. Experience delivering technology projects involving regulatory, risk, security or compliance requirements. Strong practical experience with Agile delivery methodologies. Proven experience managing cross-functional technology and business teams. Strong project governance, risk management, dependency management and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior and executive stakeholders. Ability to quickly understand complex technology environments and take ownership of active initiatives. Immediate or near-immediate availability is strongly preferred.

Requires 7-10+ years of IT Project Management experience, specifically within highly regulated financial sectors like banking or FinTech. Must have a proven track record of leading platform modernization projects using Agile methodologies.
