Position Overview: As a Project Manager/ Infrastructure and Global Systems Inspector, you are a qualified project engineer with experience in rail transport, infrastructure and global systems assessments, to join our independent certification and verification team. This vital role involves ensuring the safety, integrity and performance of systems on a variety of rail projects. You'll be working with cutting-edge technologies while complying with industry standards in a dynamic and innovative environment. Key Responsibilities: - Leading projects: managing the interface with customers, evaluation teams and other evaluation organizations. - Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including design, detailed design, systems integration and verification and control activities. - Manage and negotiate contracts with contractors and external stakeholders. - Apply a risk-based management approach to ensure that projects are carried out safely and efficiently. - Provide expertise for Infrastructure and global systems evaluation activities. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of large-scale rail projects. - Provide technical documentation, including safety assessment plans, and ensure that design and implementation meet project requirements and customer expectations. - Participate in the company's development by getting involved in tendering activities and being aware of opportunities in North America. Skills and Experience: - Extensive experience in project engineering, systems engineering and safety assurance. - Sound knowledge of railway infrastructure and systems integration - Proven ability in design engineering, systems integration, verification and validation (V&V) and commissioning. - Previous experience in contractor management, contract negotiation and risk management. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical, mechanical or related engineering. - At least 10 years' experience in the rail industry. - Proven experience in leading large, complex rail projects in North America or abroad. - Proven experience in the application of CENELEC, RISSB, CMREA or equivalent safety standards. - Fluent in English and French. - Ideally: Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or Ontario P.Eng. Experience: - Experience of working with major rail and infrastructure projects, including roles in project leadership and engineering management.
