Lead, manage and motivate project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives and milestones. Identify potential risks and develop risk management plans to mitigate any negative impact on the project. Develop and implement quality management plans and processes to ensure that the project meets or exceeds the required quality standards. Communicate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure that their needs and expectations are met. Oversee contracts and agreements, including reviewing proposals and negotiating terms, to ensure that all parties are satisfied with the project outcomes. Develop and manage project schedules, identify critical path activities, set milestones, and track progress against the schedule. Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure that changes are properly documented, approved, and communicated to all stakeholders. Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to throughout the project, including managing the risks associated with construction sites. Create and distribute regular project status reports, including progress updates, budget reports, and risk assessments, to ensure that all stakeholders are informed of project progress. Do you see these qualities in yourself? 5+ years of construction management experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience. The ability to lead and motivate a team of contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals. The ability to provide mentorship, guidance, and encouragement to CGI team members in their overall professional development and growth. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate project updates, expectations, and requirements with team members and stakeholders. Strong project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor complex projects and to manage resources, budgets, and timelines effectively. A deep understanding of construction principles, practices, and technologies, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements. The ability to identify potential project issues and to develop and implement effective solutions to overcome them. Sound judgment and decision-making skills to evaluate options, assess risks, and make timely decisions that support project objectives. Strong attention to detail to ensure that all aspects of the project are properly planned, executed, and monitored to meet quality and safety standards. Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, stakeholders, and contractors to achieve project goals while maintaining positive relationships. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands effectively. The ability to adapt to changes in project scope, timelines, and requirements, and to adjust plans and resources accordingly to ensure successful project outcomes. Requirements A diploma or university degree in construction management preferred or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
