Relationship-Focused Role About the Role We are seeking a proactive, relationship-driven Account Representative / Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of commercial client accounts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a environment where balancing customer relationships, service oversight, vendor coordination, and problem resolution are a must. This position is not cold sales. Success comes from owning the client experience, ensuring service quality, and acting as the trusted point of contact between clients, service partners, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial accounts Build strong, long-term client relationships through regular communication and site visits Coordinate and oversee multiple services we provide to our commercial and industrial customers: (janitorial, handyman, maintenance, landscaping, specialty services, etc.) Manage service performance, quality control, and issue resolution Conduct routine inspections to ensure work meets contract standards Proactively identify client needs and recommend additional services or improvements Collaborate with independent service providers to ensure scheduling, scope, and quality alignment Track client feedback, follow up on concerns, and ensure timely resolution Assist with contract renewals, scope adjustments, and account retention efforts Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and communication logs What Success Looks Like Clients feel supported, heard, and confident their facilities are being well managed Issues are resolved quickly and professionally - often before the client has to ask Service partners clearly understand expectations and deliver consistent quality Accounts are retained, strengthened, and expanded over time Ideal Candidate Profile Experience in project management, property management, account management, or service operations Strong organizational and multitasking skills Comfortable managing multiple client accounts and service providers simultaneously Excellent communication skills; written, verbal, and face-to-face Professional, dependable, and solutions-oriented Comfortable working independently in the field and collaborating with a team Detail-oriented with strong follow-through Project manager, property manager, operations manager, or hospitality management backgrounds translate very well into this role. Requirements 2+ years outside B2B account management experience, building maintenance or facility management preferred but not required. 2+ years track record of success in a client retention role, with goals and metrics to support. Highly detail-oriented and excellent follow-through on commitments. Positive and outgoing personality; great at building relationships. Strong planning and organizational skills, detail-oriented and multitasking. Must have a proactive approach, be innovative, and strive for continuous process improvement. Excellent verbal and strong written English communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of CRM database. Proficiency in using a smartphone and laptop. Ability to travel on a daily or nightly basis to client locations locally. Ability to work within a flexible schedule. Valid BC’s Driver’s License and a vehicle. The candidate will be able to handle on-call emergencies. Strong technical skills in maintenance & repair, diagnosing & troubleshooting, building/facilities systems.
