Job DescriptionThe Senior Project Manager – Building Science is a senior‑level technical and project delivery role focused on building restoration and building envelope consulting projects in Toronto.Conduct on-site investigations of building systems including cladding, roofing, underground parking structures, balconies, and related building envelope componentsPerform detailed condition assessments and prepare clear technical reports documenting findings, causes of deterioration, and recommended remedial strategiesDevelop order-of-magnitude and preliminary repair cost estimates for capital planning and client decision-makingPrepare specifications, drawings, and tender packages for restoration projectsManage the full tendering process, including addenda, clarifications, bid review, and preparation of recommendation letters for awardProvide construction administration services including site reviews, progress meetings, and review of contractor submissions (RFIs, shop drawings, change requests)Monitor construction progress, schedule, quality, and contract compliance, including evaluation of changes and delaysManage client relationships and support ongoing project communication throughout all phasesLead or support proposal preparation and contribute to business development activitiesParticipate in internal project coordination and team meetingsReview, mentor, and train junior staff, including delegating technical tasks, providing guidance on field work and report preparation, and supporting their professional developmentEnsure quality control and consistency of deliverables prepared by junior team membersQualificationsDegree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with focus on Building Systems, Building Science, Architectural Science, or a related disciplineOver 7 years of experience in building restoration, building envelope consulting, or related consulting or construction environmentP.Eng. designation is required and in good standing with PEOStrong technical expertise in building envelope systems including roofing, waterproofing, concrete restoration, and cladding systemsProven experience in condition assessments, specification writing, tendering, and construction administrationDemonstrated ability to lead projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teamsExperience mentoring, reviewing, and delegating work to junior engineers or technologistsStrong technical writing and communication skills with ability to produce high-quality reports and client-facing documentsStrong organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projectsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with Bluebeam or similar tools is an assetAdditional InformationEgis Canada is an equal opportunities employer offering a competitive salary and benefits to those with the skills suited to the needs of our clients. Lead building restoration and envelope consulting projects, including conducting on-site investigations and preparing technical reports. Manage the full project lifecycle from tendering and specifications to construction administration and client communication.

Requires a degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering and a P.Eng. designation with over 7 years of experience in building science or restoration. Must demonstrate expertise in building envelope systems and the ability to mentor junior staff.
