Your main responsibilities Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules and guidelines and actively participate in all aspects of the health and safety program; Manage contaminated sites projects, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), remediation programs, risk management initiatives, and environmental monitoring programs; Lead project delivery by managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, and client expectations; Plan, coordinate, and oversee field investigations involving soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and soil vapour assessments; Analyze and interpret environmental data, laboratory results, field observations, and applicable regulatory criteria to support technical decision-making; Prepare, review, and approve technical reports, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, remedial action plans, monitoring reports, and regulatory submissions; Provide senior technical expertise and quality review for contaminated sites assessments, remediation programs, and risk-based management strategies; Coordinate remediation activities, including contractor oversight, construction monitoring, confirmatory sampling, project documentation, and final reporting; Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, subcontractors, and internal multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes; Support business development initiatives through proposal preparation, client relationship management, strategic planning, and identification of new project opportunities. What makes you unique University degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Applied Science, or a related discipline; Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in environmental consulting, with a strong focus on contaminated sites assessment and remediation projects; Professional designation or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.), or other relevant professional accreditation; Demonstrated experience managing environmental projects, including project scope, budgets, schedules, subcontractors, deliverables, and client communications; Strong technical knowledge of Phase I and Phase II ESAs, remediation technologies, environmental monitoring programs, and contaminated sites management practices; Proven experience interpreting soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and vapour investigation data; Thorough understanding of provincial, federal, and municipal environmental regulations, guidance documents, and contaminated sites frameworks, preferably within Atlantic Canada; Experience preparing and reviewing technical reports, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and regulatory submissions; Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences; Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with experience mentoring and developing junior and intermediate environmental professionals. Exigences
Candidates must have a university degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental consulting. Membership in a Professional Engineer or Geoscientists association is required, along with experience in contaminated sites and strong communication skills.
