Job Description ** This role can be located anywhere out of Alberta or Saskatchewan ** FLINT is growing its Assessment, Remediation, Reclamation & Closure (ARRC) services across Alberta and is seeking a Senior Project Manager to provide leadership in regional project delivery, client management, and business growth. This role is suited for an experienced environmental consulting professional who can manage complex projects, lead client relationships, and support strategic growth initiatives within the region. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, driving strong financial and operational performance, and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with regulatory requirements. The role also contributes to business development, mentorship of junior staff, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen regional operations. What would you be doing? Manage the full lifecycle of complex environmental projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and client communication. Lead project teams and coordinate technical advisors/specialists, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure successful project delivery. Monitor project scope, schedule, financial performance, utilization, and quality objectives to achieve project and client goals. Serve as a primary client contact, building and maintaining strong relationships while identifying opportunities for additional work and long-term partnerships. Lead or support the development of proposals, work planning, and strategic growth initiatives within the region. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and intermediate staff, supporting their development and project management capabilities. Promote consistency in project delivery through continuous improvement initiatives, operational excellence, and adherence to FLINT's management systems and processes. Qualifications Degree or diploma in environmental science, engineering, or related discipline with a relevant professional designation. 12+ years of environmental consulting experience, with strong exposure to assessment, remediation, and/or reclamation projects and regulatory work in Alberta. Saskatchewan experience is considered an asset. Demonstrated success managing complex projects, client relationships, budgets, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams. Strong understanding of Alberta regulatory requirements and environmental project delivery practices. Proven track record of business development, project delivery, and client retention. Demonstrated ability to mentor staff, manage competing priorities, and drive successful project outcomes.
