Project Manager – Structural Engineer (Hybrid) Job Summary: The Project Manager – Structural Engineer will manage projects from initial stage to the completion of the project. Responsibilities: * Prepare and produce structural designs, project management, overseeing the production of structural documents, quality control, shop drawing review and field investigations * Preparing cost estimates, specifications and contract documents * Participate in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, business development, and preparation of proposals. * Project Management responsibilities (customer satisfaction, deliverables, quality, schedule and budget) for assigned projects. * Prepare bid/proposal packages * Perform site inspection and condition assessments of existing structures. * Provide site supervision and technical support for construction projects on an as required basis. Qualifications and Experience: * Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering * 2-5 years of structural engineering experience * Professional Engineer license an asset * Access to a reliable vehicle with a valid Driver’s License for travel to client sites * Experience in either designing steel, concrete, wood or masonry structures for buildings preferred * Working knowledge of Ontario building codes and standards * Excellent communication skills, ideally in both English and French preferred * Highly organized and detail oriented * Ability to work with design team and work on multiple projects at the same time Location: Ottawa, Ontario (Hybrid: 3 days in-office, Monday and Friday from home) Travel: Up to 25% (day trips to Montreal and around Ottawa area 1-2 per week) Compensation & Benefits: The expected base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 CAD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
