Annual Salary: $73,427.35 to $89,358.40 Employment Status: Full-Time Term Position (24 Months) Language Requirement: Bilingual (CBC) (definition [https://www.canada.ca/en/public-service-commission/jobs/services/gc-jobs/language-requirements-candidates.html]) Schedule: 37.50 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Work Environment: Hybrid Competition Closing Date: October 4, 2026 SUMMARY OF DUTIES The Canada Aviation and Space Museum (CASM) is seeking a dynamic professional to coordinate the national growth of its Aerospace Experiences program. This position manages the development and implementation of the national Aerospace Experiences program in various cities across the country with a variety of external stakeholders. The Aerospace Experiences Project Coordinator is accountable for the development and management of each “project/city’s” schedules and budgets, the delivery and implementation of a variety of workshops and events, working with stakeholders, school boards and venues across the country. This position also leads to the development and maintenance of the associated program website, ensuring functionality and content management in coordination with internal and external stakeholders. EDUCATION * Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline, including but not limited to Project Management, Events Management, Education, Museum Studies or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience EXPERIENCE * 2 years’ experience in Project-management, including developing and implementing appropriate tools (e.g., Gantt charts, budgets, meeting agendas, workflows, risk mitigation plans), and managing multiple projects simultaneously * 2 years’ experience in stakeholder relations, including assessing the needs, supporting and coordinating stakeholders and partnerships from various sectors * Proven track-record of successfully coordinating large-scale projects and/or events and complex activities in a multi-disciplinary team environment * Experience working in a museum or other cultural institution KNOWLEDGE * Considerable knowledge of project-management tools and techniques and risk-mitigation strategies * Knowledge of standards and guidelines relating to accessibility, inclusivity and diversity, particularly as they pertain to digital publications / websites * Knowledge of aviation / space industries (e.g., history, science, careers, emerging technologies) is an asset * Knowledge and understanding of the operational policies, procedures and objectives of Ingenium and of CASM’s mandate, objectives, programs, services, roles, responsibilities, organization and structure SKILLS & ABILITIES * Ability to plan, organize, direct, schedule, implement and control a wide range of activities, several of which are closely interrelated and/or interdependent * Strong leadership and supervisor skills in the context of both internal team dynamics and working relationships with internal and external stakeholders * Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in both official languages with an emphasis on excellent written communication skills to write for different ages and types of audience and for situations requiring tact * Good strategic thinking, a high degree of initiative and judgment, problem-solving skills, creativity, and versatility including the ability to move between strategic operational thinking and creative program-development thinking with fluidity * Ability to work in a team environment, with both internal and external stakeholders * Ability to work effectively under pressure without continuous supervision * Ability to effectively represent the Corporation on local, provincial, national or international scenes Security Requirements: Enhanced reliability Work location: 11 Aviation Pkwy, Ottawa, ON K1K 2X5 Union Affiliation: Public Service Alliance of Canada Classification: level 6 We wish to thank all applicants for their interest and effort in applying for this position.
