Location: Canada — Remote, with regular travel to data centre sites across Canada and US Employment Type: Full-time We are building an independent, institutional-grade cloud platform for AI. By connecting global power and compute capacity through a single enterprise infrastructure layer, we enable organizations to deploy and scale mission-critical AI workloads without traditional hyperscaler constraints. Our infrastructure network spans more than 15 countries across four continents. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager who can lead complex, multi-site AI data centre delivery portfolios and take full accountability for the outcomes. This is a senior, hands-on program ownership role. You will define the delivery model rather than simply execute against an existing one, establishing stage gates, acceptance criteria, reporting standards, escalation paths, and vendor and partner playbooks that make each deployment faster and more predictable than the last. You will mentor project managers, resolve resource conflicts, and represent delivery in front of customer executives and company leadership. You will work within a highly automated, AI-assisted operating model and be expected to help extend it. Modern AI tools are used to absorb repetitive program-management work—including status roll-ups, tracker maintenance, document generation, data reconciliation, and meeting capture—so senior leaders can focus their time on customer engagement, vendor and commercial negotiation, scope and quotation delivery, risk judgement, and the recovery of programs in difficulty. Responsibilities Own end-to-end delivery accountability for multiple concurrent AI data centre builds, from site selection and readiness through customer acceptance and operational handover. Own the integrated master schedule across sites, including cross-program dependencies involving shared resources, integration capacity, freight, and installation crews. Define and enforce stage gates and entry and exit criteria for each delivery phase, and hold the line when a gate has not been met. Own the delivery budget position, including forecast versus actual costs, change orders, delay-related exposure, and escalation of commercial impact. Make and defend difficult delivery decisions—including resequencing, partial turn-up, delayed shipment, and scope changes—with documented rationale and a clear recommendation. Own site-readiness governance across power, cooling, structural requirements, containment, security, permitting, and fit-out, holding providers accountable to committed readiness dates. Lead the construction and fit-out interface with colocation providers, general contractors, and electrical and mechanical subcontractors, including milestone reviews and readiness walkthroughs. Validate that delivered electrical and mechanical infrastructure matches the design of record, including capacity, redundancy topology, distribution, and rack-level provisioning. Own liquid-cooling readiness where applicable, including coolant distribution unit and manifold commissioning, loop qualification, and validation of the site conditions required for high-density racks. Own the portfolio-wide hardware delivery strategy, including order placement and confirmation, factory and integration slots, staging, freight-mode selection, customs and import planning, and receiving sequence. Own reconciliation across bills of materials, purchase orders, integration builds, shipments, and installed as-built inventory. Define and enforce rack and installation standards, including elevation plans, labelling, cabling and optics standards, quality checkpoints, punch-list closure, and as-built documentation. Own vendor performance for integrators, smart-hands providers, cabling contractors, and installation crews, including scorecards, escalation, and corrective action. Own delivery of the compute fabric, storage fabric, and out-of-band management networks in partnership with network engineering. Own site connectivity, including cross-connects, carrier and transit circuits, IP and ASN dependencies, DNS, redundancy, and demarcation handover, with particular attention to long-lead-time provider orders. Establish fabric validation and link certification milestones as formal gates to system turn-up. Own power-on sequencing, firmware baselining, burn-in, fabric validation, and cluster-level health criteria. Own the acceptance test plan, supporting evidence package, defect disposition, and formal customer sign-off. Ensure a clean handover to operations, including runbooks, escalation paths, asset records, and disclosure of known issues. Serve as the senior delivery relationship owner for customer program leads and executives, leading recurring reviews, milestone briefings, and escalations. Deliver concise, decision-ready reporting to company leadership covering portfolio status, schedule confidence, cost and margin exposure, major risks, and required decisions. Support commercial activity where delivery expertise is required, including scoping, quotation development, timeline commitments, change orders, and feasibility assessments for new opportunities. Lead recovery efforts for delayed or at-risk programs, establishing a credible recovery plan, executive cadence, and clear ownership across internal teams and external partners. Mentor project managers and raise the overall standard of planning, communication, risk management, and execution discipline. Own the AI-enabled delivery toolchain within your domain, designing and deploying AI-driven automation for status aggregation, tracker maintenance, document and report generation, vendor correspondence, data reconciliation, and risk identification. Set clear standards for what AI handles versus what remains under human ownership, while protecting sensitive customer and vendor information throughout every automated workflow. Qualifications Substantial experience leading complex infrastructure, data centre, or large-scale hardware deployment programs end to end, including multi-site or multi-workstream portfolios. Demonstrated accountability for delivery outcomes across schedule, cost, quality, and customer acceptance—not solely schedule administration. Deep working knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including power distribution and redundancy topologies, cooling, cabinet and rack design, structured cabling, and colocation contracting and operations. Strong command of server and network hardware deployment lifecycles, from bill of materials through commissioning and acceptance. Experience owning the construction and fit-out interface, including working with general contractors and electrical and mechanical trades on active sites. Experience managing global hardware logistics, including freight, customs and import processes, staging, and multi-country vendor coordination. Proven vendor and partner management capability, including performance management, escalation, and support for commercial negotiations. Executive-level communication skills, with the ability to give a customer or senior leader an accurate, concise, and decision-ready view of a program within minutes.
