Job Title: Project Manager – Estimating (Material Handling Systems) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent + Benefits Type - Work Hybrid About the Role We are supporting a well-established material handling and industrial systems organization with multiple locations across Ontario. This role is a Project Manager with strong estimating responsibility, owning projects end-to-end for custom material handling systems. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this position sits at the intersection of sales, engineering, production, procurement, and installation, with full accountability from quotation through execution, installation coordination, cost control, and project close-out. This is a hands-on role suited for someone comfortable working with structural and layout drawings, electromechanical systems, and customer-facing project delivery. Key Responsibilities Project Management and Execution Own projects from order intake through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets are met Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle Coordinate internally with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Installation teams Manage suppliers, subcontractors, and installation schedules Prepare and maintain project documentation, manuals, and records Estimating and Commercial Support Review structural, layout, and shop drawings to prepare accurate estimates and quotations Prepare RFQs, cost breakdowns, and margin analysis Support tender reviews, specifications, and proposal preparation Track project costs, budgets, and profitability Capture scope changes, manage variations, and support warranty or back-charge negotiations Technical and Administrative Support Review contracts and purchase orders to confirm alignment with quoted scope and commercial terms Analyze as-built drawings and contract documentation for completeness and accuracy Utilize quoting, CRM, and project tracking tools to maintain accurate records Support timely turnaround of customer RFQs in collaboration with sales Qualifications & Education Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technologist diploma or equivalent Experience in material handling, electromechanical systems within manufacturing environments Prior experience with modernization or retrofit projects is considered an asset Technical Skills Ability to read and interpret structural, mechanical, and layout drawings Strong mechanical aptitude with shop-floor processes and equipment Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks is an asset
