Temporary Full-Time (3 month contract) Position: Marketing Program & Project Manager Reports to: Director, Brand & Marketing Science World is a mission-based, charitable organization that supports the development of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Design and Math) literacy across British Columbia. Our mission is to ignite wonder and empower dreams through science and nature and our purpose is Science for All. Our Science for All strategy is to revitalize Science World with a substantial capital plan to replace critical infrastructure, enhance the visitor experience and develop new content across all our channels under the themes of Regeneration of the Planet, Human Health, and Inclusion. Our plan is to ensure that people throughout British Columbia, especially under-represented communities, have access to high quality, informal STEAM learning. Through our onsite, online and outreach programs, Science World seeks to spark curiosity and wonder in STEAM and support development of talent across communities in the province. Position Description: The Marketing Program & Project Manager, reporting to the Director, Brand & Marketing, is responsible for managing the delivery of multi-channel, integrated paid and earned marketing campaigns for Science World to drive brand awareness, audience engagement and conversion. Acting as the main point of contact for marketing initiatives, they lead campaign kickoffs, gather requirements, align stakeholders, create project plans and help transition projects smoothly into creative development and marketing planning. This is a highly cross-functional and collaborative role, that works with a mix of in-house teams and agency resources to build fully integrated campaigns. The Marketing Program & Project Manager ensures teams are coordinated throughout the creative and production process while taking the lead on paid media strategy, planning and execution. They help keep campaigns moving forward by managing key milestones, facilitating reviews and approvals, and ensuring assets and deliverables are ready for launch. Following marketing campaign deployment, the Marketing Program & Project Manager leads post campaign debriefs and collaborates with Brand & Marketing team members to collect results and produce clear, actionable performance reports. This role blends marketing knowledge with strong coordination and project management skills to help deliver effective, on-time and on brand campaigns that support organizational goals. As a facility, Science World is generally open to the public seven days a week, with some extended evening hours in the summer months. Typical office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:30pm, with front-facing and operational teams also working a variety of shifts including weekends, holidays, and evenings. Hours of work and other related requirements will be scheduled according to business needs, and this may include special events on evenings, weekends and holidays. Responsibilities: Marketing Program and Campaign Planning & Creation * Lead the creation, execution and optimization of integrated, multi-channel marketing programs and campaigns, aligning to business objectives and strategies * Oversee the establishment, alignment and documentation of business objectives, deliverables and success metrics for marketing campaigns. This includes collaborating with Marketing, Brand and agency teams on identifying needs for copy, photography, video, design and other creative assets * Own and update the master marketing calendar across multiple channels and touchpoints, in partnership with Brand & Marketing and other teams Paid Media Strategy & Agency Collaboration * Lead paid advertising media strategy and planning, including sourcing & briefing agencies, reviewing & negotiating quotes, and confirming & managing bookings * Evaluate paid media proposals from external partners and ensure advertising efforts ladder up to organizational KPI’s and strategic priorities * Serve as the primary point of contact and manage the day-to-day relationships with any/all paid advertising agency partners Program Management, Launch Readiness & Execution * Oversee end-to-end project management, including building and overseeing execution of timelines, task lists, dependencies and approvals for each campaign or promotional program, to ensure each project meets quality standards and stays on schedule * Oversee cross-functional and partner collaboration, ensuring milestones are being achieved and deliverables are being met on time, at quality and within budget. Ensure campaign narratives are being communicated clearly and effectively across all channels – owned, paid and partner – and delivering on campaign goals * Lead cross-functional launch readiness checks and coordinate go-live timing with internal teams and external agency partners Campaign Performance & Reporting * Schedule and lead post-launch debriefs with cross-functional and agency partners to review program results and document key learnings * Work with partners to collect, curate and analyze performance data across all marketing channels * Create and share clear, actionable post-campaign reports that summarize results and highlight actionable insights Budget Management & Financial Oversight * Allocate and manage deployment of the annual Science World Brand & Marketing budget, optimizing investments throughout the year according to campaign and channel performance. Update budget documents for quarterly estimates. Drive monthly budget review meetings with stakeholders Additional Responsibilities & Support * Manage the distribution and tracking of complimentary and promotional passes, including fulfillment of promotions secured through paid advertising * Operate within the philosophy, culture and values of Science World * Perform other related duties as required to fulfill any changing business needs of this role Qualifications & Skills: * Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience * Minimum seven (7) years of recent, related experience leading end-to-end marketing campaign development * Demonstrated experience in (or comprehensive understanding of) paid advertising media strategy, planning or buying, working with an in-house or external agency * Demonstrated experience working in a highly cross-functional environment and translating business needs into actionable plans * Knowledge of best practices in marketing, including brand strategy, market research, traditional and digital advertising, inbound marketing, email marketing, content marketing, sponsorship marketing, web analytics, Google Analytics, and data reporting * Demonstrated experience and competence with large-scale budget management and tracking * Work experience within a science centre, museum, attraction, science communication, or education industry would be an asset * Experience with project management software (e.g., Monday.com) * Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Work, PowerPoint) * A natural collaborator with a team-first mentality and a proven ability to work with both internal and external partners to push projects forward * Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence with an ability to build rapport/trust with a wide variety of story subjects and conduct successful interviews * Project management skills to manage multiple campaigns, competing priorities, scheduling and deadlines in a fast-paced environment * Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-drive decisions * A willingness to embrace change and pivot strategies as needed * Strong goal orientation with the ability to achieve outcomes through collaborative methods This is a unionized position represented by CUPE 1004. The compensation rate is $37.75/hour.
