If so, then this may be the role for you! Our fun and collaborative Ontario Geomatics team is looking for a Sr. Project Manager, Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) in Mississauga, ON. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for carrying-out utility mapping assignments for internal GeoVerra projects and grow the business to new external clients. This position will require the individual to conduct their own field investigations as the Utility Locating team in Ontario continues to grow. The successful candidate must have excellent competency in searching utility records, utility field methodologies, processing data collection, writing reports, and excellent knowledge of ASCE-38-22 utility engineering standards. This position has significant impact with external clients and internal team members and therefore needs to be connected and live out the Company’s Vision, Mission and Values through actions and results. What you will do: Lead project teams to deliver quality work on time and on budget. Conduct field investigations and complete Subsurface Utility Locating assignments for internal GeoVerra projects and external clients. Monitor project and team performance. Forecast project outcomes and adjust where necessary to deliver successful project outcomes. Manage client expectations, scope creep and scope changes through active communication. Partner with internal and industry experts to grow the Utility Locating business in Ontario. Contact potential clients to establish rapport, build relationships and identify and pursue new business leads. Identify and resolve client, project and/or team issues. Communicate with clients and internal team members to ensure timely flow of information, actions, deliverables, timelines and budgets. Ensure Quality, safety, legislation and industry standards are met or exceeded. Facilitate an environment of high performance. Mentor and support the development of self and the project team members. What you will bring: Engineering degree from a recognized post-secondary institution. P. Eng designation in good standing. 5-10 years of previous project management experience in the Utility Mapping industry in Ontario. Skilled at searching utility records. Knowledgeable about utility field methodologies. Expert knowledge of ASCE-38-22 Utility Engineering Standards. Exceptional attention to detail for processing data collection. Proven Business Development and client relationship focus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work without supervision. Effective time management and strong organizational skills while working to project deadlines. Willingness and ability to travel to client sites.
