Company Description St Clair Mechanical Inc., founded in 2000 and based in Brigden, ON, is a full-service multi-discipline contractor offering mechanical, electrical, and civil solutions. The company operates extensive fabrication and storage facilities, including over 25,000 square feet of enclosed shop space, 34,000 square feet for tool and material storage, and 47 acres of secured laydown. SCM specializes in above- and below-grade high-pressure piping fabrication and self-performs field installations using its own civil, electrical, and crane divisions. With a modern welding shop, a fleet of mobile rigs, trucks, excavators, hydro-vac units, and cranes up to 250-ton capacity, SCM supports projects from design through installation and QA/QC. As a proud member of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business and affiliate of The Three Fires Group, SCM emphasizes safety, quality, and end-to-end project success for construction, maintenance, and turnaround projects. Role Description The Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Brigden, ON, responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering mechanical, electrical, and civil projects from inception to completion. Day-to-day tasks include developing project plans and schedules, managing budgets, overseeing procurement and expediting of materials and equipment, and coordinating logistics for on-site and mobile teams. The Project Manager will lead cross-functional project teams, monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure that work complies with safety, regulatory, and quality standards. This role involves regular communication with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders, preparation of status reports, and resolution of issues that may impact timelines or costs. The Project Manager will also support continuous improvement by analyzing project performance and implementing best practices across SCM’s operations. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong project management skills, including Project Management experience and the ability to oversee scope, schedule, and budget. Candidates should possess expediting-related skills, including experience as an Expeditor and expertise in Expediting materials and equipment to meet project timelines. Candidates should possess inspection-related skills, including Inspection of fabrication, installations, and QA/QC processes to ensure compliance with standards. Candidates should possess logistics management skills, including Logistics Management for coordinating transport, laydown, and site deliveries. Experience in mechanical, electrical, or civil construction or industrial projects is highly beneficial. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
