Position Summary The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and continuously improving Genesis Metalworks' Quality Management Systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015, CSA N299 requirements, customer specifications, and internal quality standards.

This role will lead quality assurance activities across the organization, including audits, corrective actions, supplier quality management, documentation control, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with operations, engineering, project management, and leadership teams, the Quality Manager will ensure quality requirements are effectively implemented and maintained throughout all aspects of the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the CSA N299 Quality Assurance Program, ensuring ongoing compliance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement while supporting Genesis Metalworks' growth in both traditional manufacturing and the Canadian nuclear sector.

Key Responsibilities Quality Systems Management Maintain, administer, and continuously improve the company's ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and CSA N299 Quality Assurance Program. Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable ISO, CSA, customer, and regulatory requirements. Lead internal, external, customer, and registrar audits. Coordinate updates to policies, procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation. Manage document control, quality records, traceability requirements, and controlled documentation processes. Monitor quality system effectiveness through KPIs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure organizational readiness for customer assessments, audits, and qualification activities. Act as the primary quality resource for ISO 9001 and CSA N299 compliance requirements.

Quality Operations & Compliance Oversee inspection, testing, and quality control processes. Ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal standards. Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities. Manage non-conformance reporting and resolution processes. Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Support implementation of quality requirements across new projects and customer programs. Establish and maintain quality performance metrics to support business objectives.

Supplier & Material Quality Develop and manage supplier qualification and performance evaluation processes. Ensure material traceability, certification requirements, and documentation accuracy. Support supplier audits and corrective action activities as required. Partner with Purchasing and Project Management teams to ensure supplier compliance with quality and customer requirements. Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Training & Quality Culture Train and coach employees on ISO 9001, CSA N299, quality processes, procedures, and best practices. Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Support cross-functional teams in applying quality standards consistently throughout operations. Assist with onboarding and ongoing quality-related training initiatives. Champion continuous improvement and quality awareness throughout the organization.

Qualifications Must Haves: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field; Engineering Diploma or equivalent experience will also be considered. 5+ years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality systems. Experience managing quality programs, audits, and compliance initiatives. Experience with corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience working with quality systems in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment.

Preferred/Assets: Experience with CSA N299, CSA N285, ASME NQA-1, or other regulated-industry quality standards. Experience working in the nuclear, energy, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries. Familiarity with Canadian nuclear customers such as OPG or Bruce Power. ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification. Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification. Background in metal fabrication, welding, machining, or heavy industrial manufacturing.

Working Conditions Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment. High level of documentation accuracy and attention to detail required. Frequent cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and Project Management teams. Occasional travel may be required for supplier visits, audits, and customer meetings.

Compensation The expected salary range for this role is $80,000 – $100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
