About the role

The APS Manager is responsible for leading and driving the overall Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence strategy to deliver sustainable cost savings, increase productivity, and structurally improve operating margins. This role has direct impact on Operating Income, competitiveness, and long-term operational sustainability by embedding Lean principles, financial discipline, and performance governance across the organization.

What You´ll Do

Lean Strategy & Standardization

Align all training programs with Lean Manufacturing pillars. Standardize on-the-job training methodologies across plants. Integrate training into the Continuous Improvement System (Daily Management, Gemba, Kaizen). Ensure all critical processes have updated Skill Matrices

Lead Initiatives Focused On

OEE / OA improvement Lead time reduction / Cycle time reduction Labor productivity optimization Process standardization Waste elimination (Muda, Mura, Muri) Drive operational discipline and data-based decision making.

Cost Savings & Profitability Strategy

Define and execute the annual and multi-year cost savings roadmap aligned with financial targets.

Identify Structural Cost Reduction Opportunities Across

Conversion costs Direct and indirect labor Scrap and rework / Drive a Zero-Defect Culture Inventory and working capital Build and manage a validated hard savings pipeline in collaboration with Finance. Ensure financial impact tracking and sustainability of results Operational Excellence Deployment Strengthen and institutionalize the Lean Management System.

Apply Lean Tools To Improve Training Flow And Effectiveness

Eliminate waste in training processes Reduce certification lead time MIFA & MIFD Improve knowledge transfer to the shop floor Design multi-level certification programs based on competency levels. Ensure APS and MPS standards are being met in accordance with regional and global alignment

Requirements;

Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. Lean Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred). 8+ years in automotive or manufacturing environment. Strong shop floor exposure. Experience implementing Lean across multiple sites. Regional leadership experience preferred.

Additional Information

Salary range for the role: $125,000- 140,000 anually
