Wage: $27 per hour
Important Dates:
August 17 - September 27, Part-time (~10 hours per week)
September 28 - October 18, Part-time (~20 hours per week)
October 19-31, Part-time (~30 hours per week)
November 1-15, Full-time (40 hours per week average, with evening/weekend work)
November 16-27, Part-time (~15 hours per week)
Position Summary:
The Festival Artistic Producing Associate is responsible for assisting the Artistic Managing Director (AMD) with the preparation of the annual Chutzpah! Festival. Through working closely with the AMD and the Festival team, including the Publicist, Production Manager, Technical Director, and audience services staff, they will work in multi-faceted areas of festival production, including artist liaising, travel planning, hospitality, box office and ticketing, venue support, social media, marketing, event planning, and festival execution.
The Festival Artistic Producing Associate will serve as the secondary host for festival events with the AMD, attending and assisting with troubleshooting, as needed.
Key Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Artist Management and Planning
- Assist with gathering and securing travel arrangements for artists, including local transport
- Manage hotel and accommodation reservations
- Manage playbill information and comp tickets
- Assist with travel documentation and welcome packages for visiting artists
- Manage hospitality needs
Ancillary Programming and Event Management
- Assist the Community Outreach & Engagement Coordinator with the planning and execution of donor and sponsor-related events
- Assist with planning of all workshops and talkbacks
- Manage talkbacks and guest panellists
- Assist with additional sponsorship enquiries
- Assist with box office queries
Marketing
- Assist with the creation of marketing content for the festival and ancillary programming
- Assist with the creation of in-venue promotional material and community-directed promotional materials
- Assist with promotion distribution
Qualifications & Attributes:

2+ years of experience in arts administration, producing, or event/project management or coordination —ideally in a performing arts or cultural context.

Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; experience with public speaking or community presentations considered an asset.

Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and social media platforms.

Passion for the performing arts.

Available for evening/weekend work during Chutzpah! Festival and other peak periods.

Knowledge of Jewish culture is an asset, but not required.
