About the role
Job Overview WATB Construction delivers commercial and institutional concrete and structural projects across Ontario. We are looking for an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead field crews and oversee daily site operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating manpower, maintaining productivity, ensuring work is completed safely and according to drawings, and delivering high-quality concrete work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilites Supervise and coordinate concrete crews on site. Read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and layout information. Plan daily work activities and ensure crews, equipment, and materials are available. Coordinate with project managers, site superintendents, surveyors, and subcontractors. Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications. Oversee layout, forming, reinforcing, concrete placement, and finishing activities. Monitor productivity and quality while maintaining project schedules. Conduct daily safety talks, inspections, and hazard assessments. Complete daily reports, timesheets, and material/equipment tracking. Identify and resolve field issues while minimizing delays. Train and mentor crew members to maintain high workmanship standards. Must-Haves Proven experience leading concrete forming crews on commercial and institutional projects. Strong ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to coordinate multiple activities while maintaining productivity. Strong understanding of concrete forming, reinforcing, placement, and finishing. Commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Valid G Driver's Licence and reliable transportation. Required Certifications & Experience Experience as a Concrete Foreman or Lead Hand. Experience with reading and understanding structural and architectural plan. Working at Heights (WAH) and WHMIS 2015 (valid). Experience operating skid steers and telehandlers is considered an asset.
