Your Main Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and support a team of electrical engineers, technologists, and designers delivering building electrical projects across commercial, institutional, industrial, and mixed-use sectors; Manage team operations, including timesheet approvals, workload planning, resource allocation, backlog management, budget monitoring, and annual performance reviews; Oversee the design and delivery of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, communications, and building systems infrastructure; Ensure technical excellence through design reviews, calculations, specifications, quality control processes, and compliance with applicable codes and standards; Coordinate electrical design activities with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, structural, civil, and architectural disciplines; Act as a technical leader and trusted advisor throughout all project phases, from concept development and detailed design through construction support and commissioning; Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with client expectations and Englobe quality standards; Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, technical guidance, and successful project execution; Contribute to business development initiatives, including client engagement, proposal preparation, project planning, and identifying new opportunities; Promote and support Englobe's health and safety culture by identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing effective control measures at the source.
What Makes You Unique
10+ years of experience in building electrical engineering, including the design of commercial, institutional, industrial, or mixed-use facilities; Proven experience designing and delivering electrical building systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and emergency power systems; Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; Demonstrated leadership experience as a Team Lead, Discipline Lead, Project Manager, or in a similar supervisory role; Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration with the applicable provincial engineering association; Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, applicable building codes, and industry standards; Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects and working directly with clients, contractors, and stakeholders; Proficiency with electrical design software and industry-standard engineering tools; Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
